Is there an iPad 4 here?

Do you know there is also an iPad 4 there? Actually, the sale rep in L.A also astonished when hearing that there is a 4th gen of iPad.

It's the first iPad to get Apple's A6 chip -- in this case a turbocharged version called the A6X -- and every step the iPad takes toward laptop-class processing power has got my attention.

But I'm in the minority. The problem, of course, is that it looks the same as the gen 3 iPad, except for the Lightning connector.

There are other minor improvements too. The front-facing FaceTime camera has been upgraded to HD 720p video. The 4G/LTE iPad also works with a wider range of international carriers.

The reasons for people to ignore the 4 gen of iPad is obvious. All the attention cast onto iPad Mini and the release of Nexus 10 and Windows Surface hybrids coming of the Windows 8. Apple should make a bold statement for the next generation iPad, otherwise next time will wonder: "What? There is a gen 5 iPad?

Take a closer look at the iPad Mini

For me, who get used to type on the big iPad, the size of iPad Mini really made me a little uncomfortable for typing. 

However, there is no doubt that the new iPad is lighter and booklike and convenient for carry, and general functionality offers a full iPad experience.

But then again, the iPad Mini costs too much, especially considering the lower resolution of its 7.9-inch non-Retina Display. The A5 processor isn't as robust as the one in the fourth-gen iPad and iPhone 5. 

In my opinion, only if you want a full, polished Apple tablet experience in a smaller package, you can try to buy the iPad mini, otherwise, good alternatives are available for less money.
