The Apple spokesman said that
We launched this new map service knowing it is a major initiative and that we are just getting started with it. Maps is a cloud-based solution and the more people use it, the better it will get. We appreciate all of the customer feedback and are working hard to make the customer experience even better.So Apple's defense of their map is that they are in the early stage now. They need more people to use this new App to help them to correct the mistake. Once you have found some mistakes you can send the “report problem” link within the app.
As for my point of view, I think this App really cause a lot of troubles to the customers. Imaging that when you need to find a toilet right now, however you find a restaurant instead according to the MAP.
